Essential Functions:

· Work independently on a variety of assigned tasks.

· Inspect, operate, test, and maintain a variety of well and pumping equipment, water storage facilities, and water treatment, including pumps, air compressors, emergency systems, pipe systems, water storage tanks, chemicals and equipment associated with water treatment.

· Collect water samples and perform duties associated with the cross-connection control program.

· Clean and flush the water system; respond to customer water quality inquiries.

· Maintain and ensure adequate supply of water in the District’s system.

· Read and interpret drawings, diagrams of the District’s system; record daily log of a variety of readings.

· Use a variety of power and hand tools, perform a variety of related carpentry, pipefitting, valve repair, and general repair work.

· Participate in emergency call duty, at the Superintendent’s discretion.

Knowledge of:

· Water distribution and treatment procedures, sampling techniques, equipment, materials, and tools used in the operation and maintenance of motors, pumps, water treatment, compressors, and other equipment.

· · Basic record keeping and report writing practices; and basic Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) telemetry system
