Class Description:
Attendees will be provided with a basic overview of Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP)identification and potential hazards in working with this material. A review of best practices of working with ACP. The class will end with a hands-on demonstration of various techniques of cutting, removal, handling and post work clean up. The class will utilize the MRWA training and response trailer with its associated tools, equipment and training aids. The class will simulate ACP pipe and proceed through the process of physically performing a repair and dealing with the waste material, the cleaning of personnel and equipment to return into service. The course will have consumable training materials.
Portions of this class will be held outdoors, please dress accordingly. This is an interactive, hands-on, class. PPE will be provided and must be used at all times.

Chris Cossette - Superintendent, Wiscasset Water District
Chris has served as the Wiscasset Water District's Superintendent since 2004. Under his leadership, the utility has made continual progress through constant operational evaluation of the system and creation of benchmarks for operational efficiencies. Chris is also one of the founding members of the Five Rivers Regional Water Council. Chris has taught many hands-on training classes for MRWA!
