Q: What is MUST training?
A: MUST training is Municipal Utility Safety Training. We offer MUST training twice a year in five different locations. This training is for any municipal employee (i.e. public works, wastewater departments, water departments, etc), as well as water and wastewater district personnel.
Q: Can MRWA do more regional training?
A: MRWA is very excited about the opportunity to reach more of its members through the ATM system. ATM (Advanced Video-Conferencing Technology) is part of the "Maine Distance Learning Program." This is a state program that broadcasts from an origination site to remote sites. Most of these sites are located in schools around the state. By utilizing this technology we can reach out across the state and offer our training sessions to several locations at the same time. This allows us to bring training to areas that speakers are not always able to travel to. The origination site is where the speaker is located. All sites hear and see each other. The remote sites receive the same materials and information as the origination site.
