Class II, III & IV Water Distribution Certification Preparatory Course [#0831 A-B] Water Wastewater

This 5- week course utilizes CSUS's Water Systems Distribution Operation and Maintenance manual and USA Bluebook's Operator's Companion Book. Topics include: storage facilities, distribution system facilities, water quality considerations, disinfection, safety and practice exam questions.

MRWA is offering different topics each day of the five-week preparatory course. DWP and DEP have authorized contact/credit hours based on the topic and the duration of each of the scheduled classes. For class topics, days and contact/credit hours see the below course summary: 

Day 1 - Course introduction, Drinking Water Regulations (part 1), chemical/biological characteristics, water system hydraulics, water sources and treatment overview and math session 1 (basic math review). An attendee will receive 4.0 DWP contact hours and 2.0 DEP credit hours.

Day 2 - Water distribution systems, disinfection and math session 2 (problem solving). An attendee will receive 4.0 DWP contact hours and 2.0 DEP credit hours.

Day 3 - Corrosion control, pumping systems, instrument and control and math session 3 (problem solving). An attendee will receive 4.0 DWP contact hours and 3.0 DEP credit hours.

Day 4 - Water system safety, water system security and math session 4 (problem solving). An attendee will receive 4.0 DWP contact hours and 3.0 DEP credit hours.

Day 5 - Drinking Water Regulations (part 2) administration and recordkeeping, typical certification exam questions and math session 5 (problem solving). An attendee will receive 4.0 DWP contact hours and 2.0 DEP credit hours.
