Very Small Water System (VSWS) & Class I Water Certification Preparatory Course [#0830 A-B] Water Wastewater

This 5-week course utilizes the ACR Introduction to Small Water Systems textbook. Topics include: Water Sources & Treatment, Disinfection, Distribution, Pumps, Safety, Regulations, Security, Applied Math and practice exam questions.

MRWA is offering different topics each day of the five-week preparatory course. DWP and DEP have authorized contact/credit hours based on the topic and the duration of each of the scheduled classes. For class topics, days and contact/credit hours see the below course summary: 

Day 1 - Course introduction, chemical characteristics, biological characteristics, regulations (part 1), math session 1 (basic math review) and sample test 1. An attendee will receive 5.0 DWP contact hours and 2.0 DEP credit hours.

Day 2 - Water hydraulics, electrical basics, introduction to water sources, math session 2 (problem solving) and sample test 2. An attendee will receive 5.0 DWP contact hours and 3.0 DEP credit hours.

Day 3 - Water treatment, water disinfection, math session 3 (problem solving) and sampe test 3. An attendee will receive 5.0 DWP contact hours and 2.0 DEP credit hours.

Day 4 - Distribution systems, pumping systems, water system safety, math session 4 (problem solving) and sample test 4. An attendee will receive 5.0 DWP contact hours and 2.5 DEP credit hours.

Day 5 - Regulations (part 2) and monitoring, management considerations, water system security, math session 4 (problem solving), sample test 5 and ABC - VSWS sample test. An attendee will receive 5.0 DWP contact hours and 2.5 DEP credit hours.

An attendee can receive a total of 25.0 DWP contact hours and 12.0 DEP credit hours if they attend all five sessions. Please be sure to sign up for the day(s) that you would like to attend.
